Shape Hunter is an interactive space-themed math game that helps students practise identifying two-dimensional shapes and three-dimensional solids. Students search for the target shape, select the correct examples, and move through increasingly challenging missions.
Students build visual recognition of shapes such as triangles, squares, rectangles, trapezoids, rhombuses, pentagons, hexagons, and octagons. Later levels introduce 3D solids such as cubes, spheres, cylinders, cones, rectangular prisms, triangular prisms, and square-based pyramids.
Read the mission prompt at the top of the screen. Find the requested number of matching shapes in the grid. Correct choices increase the score, while incorrect choices encourage students to look more carefully at shape attributes.
This activity can be used for geometry review, math centres, small-group practice, or independent learning. It supports vocabulary development, spatial reasoning, visual discrimination, and confidence with 2D and 3D geometry concepts.
Students practise comparing shapes by sides, corners, curves, faces, and overall structure. The game helps learners connect shape names to visual examples while keeping the practice active, playful, and easy to repeat.
