Spinner Adventure is an interactive probability and data game that helps students practise making predictions, collecting results, and comparing outcomes. Students look carefully at a spinner, choose which result they think is most likely and least likely, spin the wheel, and record each result using a tally chart.
Students build early probability vocabulary such as most likely, least likely, fair, unfair, outcome, prediction, and result. They also practise organizing data with tally marks and using evidence from repeated spins to compare what they predicted with what actually happened.
First, study the spinner and make two predictions: which option is most likely to win and which option is least likely to win. Then spin the wheel ten times. After each spin, add a tally beside the result. At the end, compare the data with your original predictions.
This activity works well for probability lessons, math centres, data management practice, small-group instruction, and review. It gives students a visual and hands-on way to understand chance instead of only reading probability questions on paper.
Students learn to make reasonable predictions, collect data accurately, represent results with tallies, and explain whether the final data supports or challenges their thinking. Later levels introduce uneven spinners so students can notice how spinner sections affect probability.
