Common 3D Shapes
Cube
All sides are equal. Looks like a dice.
Rectangular Prism
A box shape. Like a cereal box.
Sphere
Perfectly round. Like a ball.
Cylinder
Has flat circles and can roll.
Cone
Pointed top and round base.
Square-based Pyramid
Pointed top and a square base.
Triangular Prism
Has triangle ends and rectangle sides.
Roll, Stack, or Both?
Roll: Shapes with curved surfaces roll, such as spheres, cylinders, and cones.
Stack: Shapes with flat surfaces stack, such as cubes and rectangular prisms.
Both: Some shapes can do both, depending on how they are placed.
